Tina Waddell Tucker

Mrs. Tina Waddell Tucker, age 50, of 30 Whistlestop Drive, Cartersville, GA passed away Sunday, February 24th. in Heartland Hospice House of Cartersville following several months of illness.


She was born in Polk county, GA on October 13, 1957 a daughter of Mrs. Frances Robinson Waddell and the late Mr. Hershell R. Waddell. Mrs. Tucker had lived the greater part of her life in Polk county moving to Bartow county six years ago. She was a 1975 graduate of Rockmart High School and a 1982 graduate of the Coosa Valley Technical College Medical Office Assistant Program. She had been employed by Cartersville Medical Center for the past seven years and was a member of the Cartersvile Church of God. Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her father and by an infant sister, Linda Darlene Waddell.


Survivors include her husband, Mr. Wayne Tucker to whom she was married on December 23, 1976; one daughter, Sarah Tucker and one son, Joshua Tucker all of Cartersville; mother, Mrs. Francis Waddell, Cedar Bluff, AL; two sisters: Ms Arlene Gentry, Aragon and Mrs. Terry Wade, Cedar Bluff, AL; three brothers; Mr. Darrell Waddell, Rockmart, Mr. John Waddell, Cedar Bluff, AL and Mr. Brian ?Squeaky? Waddell also of Cedar Bluff, AL; a number of nieces and nephews survive.


Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 26th. at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Pasley and Rev. Derek Holbrook officiating. Interment followed in the Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.


Pallbearers included: Dana Teems, Jimmy Miller, Phil Holder, Trent Lane, Dusty Waddell and Brent Gentry.


The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
