Tom Watson Clark

Mr. Tom Watson Clark, age 86, of Rockmart, GA passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015 in a Cedartown nursing center.

He was born in Rockmart, GA on November 16, 1928 a son of the late Robert Lewis Clark and Bessie Mae Jackson Clark. Mr. Clark had lived all of his life in Rockmart where he was a member of the Morning View Baptist Church. He was a former employee of the Goodyear Mill and then worked for the Integrated Mill in Aragon for seventeen years. His last employment was with Polk County as a convenience site manager. Mr. Clark was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Dodd Clark on June 28, 2006, by a sister, Vera Jo Birdsong and by two brothers: Robert Leroy Clark and Curtis Lewis Clark.

Survivors include his two sons: Tommy Clark and wife Tanya and Gary Clark and wife Maxine all of Rockmart; two sisters: Dorothy Weaver and Shirley Tucker both of Rockmart; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Owen "Bud" Davis and Rev. Donald Lester officiating. Interment will follow in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Joe Camp, Gabriel Clark, Dustin Clark, Ricky Hulsey, Shane Harrell and Rick Davis. Honorary pallbearers will include: Raymond Jackson, Junior Weaver and Ricky Clark.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.

The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Mr. Tom Watson Clark.
