Verda Mae Bright

On Thursday, November 26, 2020 Verda Mae Bright, Loving wife and mother of four children passed away at the age of 84.

Verda was born on October 29, 1936, in Athens, TN to John Leslie and Elma Ledford Shore. On January 3, 1953, she married Kenneth Calvin Bright. Together they raised three sons: David, Danny and Scott and one daughter, Jamie.

Verda loved to bake and was famous for her legendary chocolate pudding. She loved her family and wanted to be surrounded by them as often as possible. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion and her love of laughter.

Verda was preceded in death by her father, John; mother, Elma; brothers: Lloyd Shore and Lewin Shore; son, Danny Bright; and grandson, Tate Williams. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Bright; her three children: David Bright and his wife, Debbie, Scott Bright, and Jamie Williams and her husband Gary; brothers: John Shore and Bill Shore; sister, Judith Millsaps; six grandchildren: Levi, Tyler, Dillon, Callie, Thad, Delaney; and one great-grandchild, Camden.

In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Bright will be cremated and memorial services will be held in the Spring.
