Virginia Addison

May 16, 1953 — February 23, 2020

Mrs. Virginia Anne Addison, age 66, of Cedartown, GA (the Aragon area) passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 at her residence following a one year illness.

She was born in Atlanta, GA on May 16, 1953 a daughter of the late Tom Eubanks and the late Martha Carter Eubanks. Mrs. Addison had lived in Polk county since 1998 moving here from Rome. She was a member of the Live Oak Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and served as a youth minister. Mrs. Addison was the owner and operator of Simply Staffing and was very involved in the business community in Rockmart. As a business owner, she not only helped find jobs for those in need, but she used her office as a place of ministry and sharing what God could do to change their lives. There was never a dull moment when anyone had the opportunity to be in her presence. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family, especially Sunday dinners. Shopping and working in her yard were favorites as well.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Addison, Sr. on December 7, 2018 and by a brother, Robert Eubanks.

Survivors include her children: Teri Lynn Morrow (Jason), Rockmart, Jason Thomas Adams (Tabitha), Rockmart and Maggi Breanna Smith (Matt), Aragon; step children: Jerry Addison, Jr., LaGrange, Justin Addison (Heather), LaGrange and Megan Lynn King (Jeff), Pine Mountain; sisters: Charlotte Boyd (Larry), Loganville and Laurie Lovelace, Aragon; fifteen grandchildren: Tristan, Koby, Chase, Dillon, Tristan, Devan, Madison, Cade, Bryce, Lilah, Oakley, Jedidah, Hayden, Kelsey and Tinley; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Live Oak Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Osborn officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and include: Tristan Adams, Koby Adams, Dillon Brown, Chase Adams, Cade Holder, Tristan Morrow and Hayden Vann.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 until 8 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, Virginia made a request for donations to be made to Live Oak Baptist Church Youth Group and the Gideon Bibles. The family would also encourage donations be made to The American Cancer Society in her honor. www.cancer.org
