Wanda Diane Wigley Waddell

Mrs. Wanda Diane Wigley Waddell, age 70, of Aragon, GA, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023.

Wanda was born on August 27, 1952, in Rockmart, GA, a daughter of the late Harold Wigley and Lucille Presley Wigley. Mrs. Waddell lived the greater part of her life in Aragon and was of Baptist faith. Wanda retired from K-Mart where she had worked as the food manager for 45 years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching The Golden Girls and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Mrs. Waddell was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Danny Charles Waddell; brother, David Wigley and her sister-in-law, Lisa Wigley.

Wanda is survived by her daughters, Samantha Waddell and her boyfriend, Michael Sims of Aragon, GA, and Sabrina Waddell Smith of Rockmart, GA; son, Matthew Waddell and his wife, Nicole of Cedartown, GA; thirteen grandchildren, Annalyssa Elliott, Abby Elliott, Jayten Waddell, Kenyon Sims, Tyler Formby, Jace Williams, Krystal Carver, Kayla Smith, Courtney Morrow, Harleigh Waddell, Aaron Adams, Heather Dunn and Ashely Waddell; six great-grandchildren, Owen Reeves, Adalyse Carver, Sophia Carver, Charlotte Carver, Aleia Buttram and Shelia Morrow; brothers, William Wigley, Thomas Wigley and Billy Wigley. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Waddell will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
