Wayne Roger Wofford

Mr. Wayne Roger Wofford, age 54, of Aragon, GA passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012 in a Rome medical center.

He was born in Atlanta, GA on November 9, 1957 a son of Bertha Mae Dempsey Wofford and the late Jacob Lewis Wofford. Mr. Wofford had been a resident of Polk County for the past seventeen years moving here from Villa Rica, GA. He was formerly associated with Wal Mart and loved to spend time with his family. Mr. Wofford was preceded in death by his father and by two brothers: David and Ronnie Wofford.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Suggs Wofford of Aragon to whom he was married in 1979; three children: Richard Suggs, Aragon, Cristal Thurman, Rockmart and Wade Tyler Brooks, Rockmart; mother, Bertha Mae Wofford, Villa Rica; four grandchildren: Wesley Thurman, Samantha Thurman, Dakota Thurman and David Thurman; one brother, Paul Wofford, Villa Rica; two sisters: Betty Morgan, Carrollton and Brenda Morgan, Villa Rica; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Calvary Baptist Church.
