William A. Witherell

Mr. William A. Witherell, age 53, of Arbor Chase Parkway Rockmart passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at his residence following several months of illness.


He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on September 28, 1957 a son of Mildred May Hanson Witherell and the late Robert Joel Witherell. Bill attended Northview High School in Grand Rapids. He moved to Rockmart in 1995 and married Glenna Conniel Ledford on September 28, 1995. She preceded him in death on September 15, 2009. Mr. Witherell was a former employee of Eby-Brown in Rockmart. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Robert Witherell.
Survivors include a step daughter, Marilea Smith, Rockmart; mother, Mildred Witherell, Grand Rapids, Michigan; two sisters: Maryann Nyp, Grandville, Michigan and Diane Freville, Belmont, Michigan;three grandchildren and four nieces also survive.


Memorial services will be held Sunday, September 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from the graveside of Greenwood Cemetery, Cedartown, GA.
