Mr. William Howard Ford, age 94, of Lee Street, Dallas, GA and formerly of Cedartown, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012.
He was born in Tallapoosa, GA on April 15, 1918, a son of the late Harrison Ford and the late Minnie McInvale Ford. Over the years Mr. Ford had made his home in many places, but after retirement from West Point Pepperell Mill in Newnan, he lived in Cedartown for over 20 years before moving to Dallas. He enjoyed fishing and was of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Louise Worsham Ford on July 21, 2009, and by four sisters.
Survivors include his son, Mr. Gary Ford, Dallas; two grandchildren: Mrs. Gara Ford Drum, Powder Springs, and Mrs. Cindy Ford Vanek and her husband Scott, Dallas; three great grandchildren: Raygan, Sarah Jane, and Liza Kate; one sister, Mrs. Frances McCullough also survives.
Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Polk Memory Gardens with Minister Alvis Miller officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
